Took me long enough. I hauled out a camera. I was like, hey, this is actually a pretty good camera. It's way better than the others I have, even if it's not GREAT, it works.
So I went outside and took a couple pictures. Then Melissa comes to pick Christie up for work and they announce to me I'm babysitting. Ookayyy great headsup you guys.
Anywho, I grabbed the camera and off I went. Then I visited a friend. So all this makes up for a blog bereft of pictures in the last few months. Enjoy it while you finally get the chance. :p

So firstly, the usual. Went outside, captured what I wanted.

None of these pictures, above and below, are edited. Because I am lazy. It takes too long.

The jars from Erin's bridal shower. These were the drinking glasses with the cutest straws ever!
Then I went to babysit the punk. "Oh no! Aunt Molly!"
And no. I did not tell her to make this face. Really. She's just so prissy.

Prissy and a punk. "Picture. Picture. Me. Picture."

We ate popsicles because she had shots today, and because we always have a popsicle while babysitting.
"Sshhh." We went and got seconds. Sneak sneak...

Then I went to Chloe's house. Someone related to them had a birthday and we got leftover chocolate frogs...delish!! And we played scrabble.

Okay, so I saved my favorite for last. When Caroline and I sneaked away to get more popsicles, I thought, "Hey, more pictures for the blog! I'm going to take a picture of the popsicles." And RIGHT as I snapped the picture, I think Caroline got a little too excited...
I ADORE this doll. 'Nuff said.

Blog changin'

So you know, I used to have a beach blog. I'd post (not often) pictures and stuff but I never actually used it. Anyhow, I came up with a new idea, and if you want, I'd love it if y'all checked it out! It's called A Writer's Ponderings. It's still a work in progress--I'm not sure I'll keep the background and there are so many buttons to take away and add, many awesome writer quotes to put down--you get the idea.

Anyhow, writer tips and stuff will be posted there, so check it out here!

Tagged for a Q/A

So you know how I was telling you about all those Q/A's I got tagged in? Well, I'm posting the first one. :) I'm thinking I'll do the second one in a couple of days.
The first one I was tagged by Hannah at The Writer's Window.

1. If the main villain of your favorite book/movie/TV series showed up on your front doorstep, what would you do? (Explain who it is first...)

Okay, so many people know that I'm a Whovian--a big Doctor Who fan. Doctor Who is a sci-fi/fantasy TV show about a time-and-space-traveling Genuis who travels in his TARDIS, his time machine. Two of the biggest iconic enemies are the Daleks, aliens who defeated the Time Lords (save the Doctor) in the most epic battle in all history (the Doctor is the last Time Lord of all); and then, the Cybermen, robots that shoot lasers, are relentless in chasing you, try to take over the world several times and fail (courtesy of the Doctor) and upgrade you; in another words, they change you to Cyberman, a painful expierence--they take away your feelings and make you one of them.

I am deathly afraid of these Cybermen.
Their relentlessness, their speech. I will literally have to hide underneath my covers when I'm being stupid enough to imagine them waiting aroun my bed in the night.

If they showed up at my doorstep, I would first scream. Then I would run, trying to find an axe. Maybe I can cut the Cyberman. I'd rather that than be shot by a laser. I'd rather be shot by a laser than be upgraded.

2. Now supposing the heroes opposite this villain showed up just after your exchange. What would you do then?
Gape for a minute. The DOCTOR?! At my doorstep?
And then I'd yell, "WHAT DO I DO?"
And he'd yell back (as we're dodging the Cyberman's lasers), "USE THE MECHANICAL PART ON THE GROUND TO CREATE A MENTAL TELEPATHIC FIELD SO I CAN--"
3. So... moving on, the heroes defeat the villain (with some help from you, of course- whatever it may be. ;) But the next day, you're just walking along, minding your own business, when you suddenly come across the same villain... who is now lying in the dust severely wounded and unconscious. What do you do?
Lock him up. It sounds heartless, but a Cyberman? Dig a pit and drop him in it, put a lid on top and hope the Doctor comes to deal with him.
4. Now his minions show up and kidnap both you and him and take you to their universe (or version of your universe, whatever it happens to be.) Your reaction?
Defiance. Of course I'll be shaking in my custom-made baby seal leather boots, but if I keep them talking, maybe I can escape?

5. Your fantastic heroes have arrived to rescue you- but now you're faced with a choice. The villain, out of gratitude for your earlier help, (assuming you actually did help him when he was wounded) has offered you a chance to travel back to your own universe. However, the heroes warn you not to trust him. The only other way for you to get back home is to travel with the heroes on a long and dangerous journey... and there's no guarantee that you'll survive.
What. Do. You. Do.
Psht I'm going with the Doctor! Ridiculous notion to actually get help from my kidnappers. Also, I'm not sure they'd be so pleased that I locked their leader in a pit...
Time for some tagging!
I tag Rachel from the Sesquipedalian Dreamer
Elf from need2read
You know you don't have to do this, but you can.
and that's all I can think of. :)

Tagging Trend?

So I've been tagged twice in the past two weeks for these tag-friend/interview thingy...I really am not sure what you call em.
But this is just to say that yes! I would like to do these! I've been tagged by Hannah, then by Rachel, and I love to answer questions like these, but you see, we're traveling around in Florida...then we're going to's been really busy. Meaning, there's no computer for me to use, just my iPod, and I can't answer the questions very well from my iPod because I have to cut and paste and my iPod gets confused when I do it a lot.
All this is to say that I will do these. In the near future.
As soon as I get my hands on a computer I can use (Saint Sae help me, I will!) I will answer the tags! Not all at once, just so I have more to look forward to ;)

But thank you for tagging me! I can't wait to tag another person heh heh.

Love to ya all!

Birthday at the Beach

What! Today is my birthday! How about that.

We're going to be in Florida for almost a month, because we're doing all sorts of stuff; we're going to see my uncle, my dad's going to teach, Dan's graduation is this month, and my mom gets some sort of thing done at the doctor's (no a regular every day doctor, not the Doctor though I wish) and it's in three different parts of Florida we're going to; our normal Pensacola, Ormond Beach, and Tampa, then back to Pensacola.
We left home on August third in the evening. Because we weren't going to be here for my birthday and it also happened to be a friend's birthday, a family invited me, Sam, and Emily to the park to play at the playground and the water park with their kids. So it's nine in the morning, and we play until eleven or so, then we leave to get my friend Chloe to a few shops, then head home.
I'm greeted in the garage by my adorable niece Caroline when we get back, and my mom too. I start to pick up Caroline with a 'hey cutie watcha up to?' and as I'm picking her up, I see the table through the open door.
It's set with a white tablecloth with blue stars on it, and blue culinary as well as some party decorations. Confused, I look up, and our kitchen is filled with people and everyone yells out "SURPRISE!!" and they start singing happy birthday.
I'm just bewildered. They threw me a shock (instead of surprise) early birthday party, inviting my best friends and my family.

We had so much fun, y'all. A memory that day made. Two awesome people got me HIGH-TOP CONVERSES. WHAAAAT. Clara got me this lovely book about drawing and I've been using it all day today, drawing some comics about this dragon and a prince and Merlin. Also, on our birthdays, we do almost anything we want and don't work, so I had lots of time to draw ha ha ha! I love that book. And my Converses. Oh yeah.

My bro got me this hilarious card that said, 'When I can't do something right, I ask myself, 'What would my sister do?........and how can I get her to do it?'
And both Stephanie and Christie got me cards that didn't open. It got me both times.

I think I've had the most memorable birthday yet.

Fan Fiction Contest 2013 via Anne Elisabeth Stengl

Hullo, dearests!

The time has come again for Anne Elisabeth Stengl's annual Fan Fiction Contest! This time, it's the fans/Imps that vote, not the judges. There are so many wonderful stories and poems, I had a hard time choosing.
Please go read them and vote! You have the entire month of August to vote, so no rush and no worries, my dears! In fact, I sat down with a pot of tea (all for myself, mwuahahaha) and literally took all day to read everything. I half took my time, half because there are that many stories. It took my dear friend Clara two hours!

These hours of truly brilliant reading are accompanied with stories by some great people, such as my best friends Clara and Chloe; people I've never actually met but know on blog like Meredith and Hannah. Oh gorgeousness. No, of course I didn't put links on their names, you have to find their stories for yourself.
Now, away to Anne Elisabeth's with a pot of tea or coffee, prepare for some laughs, grins, and perhaps a smidgeon of sadness...
