Obsession Post

Most of you know about my undying love of Doctor Who. Have I ever 'splained how it began?

I thought this would be an interesting post, because I'll have pictures and...and and and. Doctor Who is the only movie/TV show in the world that has ever ever made me cry.

It was my sister, Rachel, who first introduced Doctor Who to our family. She got Christie into it, and when I got older, she showed me and Sam the first episode she ever watched of the Doctor. It's tradition now to show people that one episode first.

It's called 'Blink'.
Beware the Weeping Angels.
It's my favorite episode out of them all. I've seen so so so many times. I can quote every one of the lines, I know exactly what's going to happen next, and there's this one part that gets me every time.
"You're not looking at the angel."
"Neither are you."

If you're a Whovian, you know which part this is. Oh yeah.
For the Non-Whovians, the Angels are Quantum Locked. They can't move when someone is looking at them, but when you're not...they move in literally a blink of an eye.
"Don't turn your back.
Don't look away.
And don't. blink.
Good luck."
You need to watch this. You will love it. So much.
So, yeah, then I seriously got into the show.
The Doctor is a time-traveler in a blue police box called the TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space). When normally, someone would die from this thing or that, he regenerates; he is the same man, same memories, but different face.
Okay, so, it started fifty years ago (I know right?) and then it stopped after a long time. Then, back in the early 2000s, it came back with the Ninth Doctor (Ninth Regeneration)

That's him and his companion, Rose.
Ninth is the one who introduced me to the Doctor.

(that's Rose again) Tenth is the one we all fell in love with.

Eleventh became my best friend.

Twelfth is the newest; he'll be appearing in the future seasons.
I don't know what he's like, but I like him in real life because I watched some interviews.
He's appeared in a previous Doctor Who episode as someone else before but he wasn't being the Doctor and that's a lot different...

The one episode that made me cry. It was pathetic, really. I had stayed up late watching episodes while everyone else went to bed and I watched this episode. I finished it, crying it so hard I was hiccuping.
I've never ever cried for any other film in all of time and space. I'm okay with saying I did; I think that was when I officially declared myself a definite Whovian. You can't say I'm not a fan.
Okay, so I watched it again last night. I was like, "I feel like watching it, I've seen it before, I know how it ends and what happens later in the series." Yeah. I'll be fine.
I watch it with my kid brother. It ends and I tell him, "You can have the computer now." and I walk out into another room. And burst out crying. That one stupid episode I just had to watch.
I calmed down, okay? I go on Instagram, thinking I need to do something else and calm down.
Someone's kid drew something and their mom decided to take a picture of it and post it on Instagram. They drew a TARDIS.
That was it. I'm not usually hysterical like that. All this to tell you, you will love Doctor Who so so so so much but your Whovian world will crash and burn sometimes.

I think my two most feared enemies would be the Weeping Angels and the Cybermen. I am really scared of the Cybermen.

ugh they scare me!

Beloved TARDIS.

I think my top favorite show is Doctor Who. Now they're coming out with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. It will never pass Doctor Who but so far (and I mean just the pilot is out) it's pretty cool.

My next Obsession Post will probably be Divergent. Yup. It's going to be Divergent. What do you think of the Obsession Post idea? It'll vary from latest obsessions, to TV shows, to movies and books. Not like random things, and sometimes they won't be obsessions but what I'm really into (like stunts. Stunts are very cool.)

So, anyone else?

Well, I met an old man dying on a train...

No more destination, no more pain.
And he said, "One thing, before I graduate.
Never let your fear decide your pain."
----

It's been pretty crazy around here these past few weeks. We came home from Florida yesterday only to have Christie and my mom leave for California today to visit my aunt with our sister-in-law.

I've been settling back into the routines I created before I left for Florida. That's quite an accomplishment for me, because I've never made a routine and kept up to it. I am an early bird, so I'm usually outside practicing archery by 7:30 or so. I love this part of my routine. There aren't any bugs outside at this time of day; dragonflies are flying all around me, the woods surround me, there's this peaceful quiet, and since it's normally only me and my parents up, no one is calling me back inside for something.

I've been reading a story I did last November, for NaNoWriMo. I haven't touched it since, and I don't think I finished it, either. I'm sitting there either making interested faces since I know what's going to happen next but I don't know how, or making disgusted faces when I survey my horrible writing. Literally, as I sit there reading, I'm making an effort not to fix the entire thing. I've decided to just leave it and look at it when I'm older to decide if I really want to keep going. It's that bad. Sometimes it looks like a journal. Most of the time, it looks like the main character is talking to herself.

And of course, lots of music...hence the AWOLnation lyrics above. I like bits of music that can apply to myself, music that can boost my energy or something...
Sometimes my random edits will remind me of one of my favorite songs.

"And who do you think you are?
Going 'round, leaving scars.
Collecting your jar of hearts..."

My latest lock screen is this. I can't listen to 'Learn to be Lonely' without feeling like crying, then that reminds me of 'War Horse' when Captain Nicholls dies...then I think of sad songs...then I think of the Doctor and Rose...

"I have died every day waiting for you
Darling, don't be afraid I have loved you
For a thousand years
And I will love you for a thousand more..."

And now I end...
"No wonder your heart feels it's flying
Your head feels it's spinning
Each happy ending's a brand new beginning
Let yourself be enchanted, you just might break through

To ever ever after
Forever could even start today
Ever ever after
Maybe it's just one wish away
Your ever ever after..."

"Some things are best left unknown and that's okay!" --Doctor Who
Still not getting it?
I was afraid of that.

Well, I may just have to stick with being really quiet.
I have been around friends that tell me I'm really quiet whereas everyone else is not.
Okay, if they say so. Doesn't mean I agree, but this is SOMETHING that I have come up with using my BRILLIANT and most FANTASTIC mind EVER created!!
(evilly)-->Mwuhahahahahahahaaa!

Farewell, farewell! You might NEVER hear from me AGAIN!!! Ha ha ha haa!!! (more evil laughter)

(brightly) Cheerio!

Canada and Caroline

Right now, as I am writing, little Miss Cutie (Caroline) is sitting in my lap, watching as I type.
I am babysitting her every day as Melissa and Michael work on their house, which, by the way, is progressing nicely.
They're actually moving in furniture and such!! :)

Christie, Mama, Daddy, and other of my church friends are in Canada right now! They should be in Penticton by now.
I felt sorry for them because they had to get up at 3:30 (a.m.) to go to the airport, but a little green with envy as they get to see Canada and work there.

Today I am 13! Thank you, Sarah, for that delightful comment you wrote; I felt absolutely thrilled when I read it! :)
I am mostly excited that I am 13, for I no longer have to wear the JACKET OF SHAME (the lifejacket) on the boat, unless, of course, I am tubing with friends or skiing or whatever.

There are plenty more things that I am thrilled over: the Olympics, the Saints are playing tomorrow night, favorite TV shows are coming back in the fall or sooner or whatever.

:)
Ha ha, yes, you may think me as silly, but the Ferris wheel (and of course Big Ben) is often seen in Doctor Who, especially the Ferris wheel. :)

So, on the 10th of August, Rachel is taking me somewhere for my birthday.... yet I know not where, only Rachel does, so when that time comes, I shall most definitely post about it.
Also, Melissa told me that she would take me anywhere I wanted (I presume you probably already knew that, but whatever :) so I asked to be taken into Old Covington to looked through antique shoppes. I absolutely LOVE to look through antique shoppes!
I shall totally take pictures then.

Jet'aime, my fantastic readers!
